Caddo Lake

Today’s post is a throw back to last summer when Matt and I visited Caddo Lake. Caddo Lake sits on the border of Texas and Louisiana, about a 5 hour drive from Houston. This lake is interesting in that it’s one of the only (if not the only) natural, non-man made lake in Texas. It’s also unexpected in that large cypress trees grow in the middle of the lake! It makes for a very unique lake experience.

Saint Louis Solar Eclipse

In August, Matt and I took advantage of a rare opportunity to see two things we had never seen before – a full solar eclipse and Saint Louis, Missouri! Since we love traveling and science, it was a no brainer for us to travel to a new city in order to view the rare eclipse.
