Hello again! As I mentioned last week, today I’ll be detailing Day 2 of our trip to NYC last summer. If you missed the post about Day 1, you can read it here. Day 2 was our first full day in the city, and we learned so much about traveling around the city. Continue reading
In September 2016, Matt and I traveled to New York City! New York is one of my absolute favorite places to travel, because there is no shortage of things to do and see. I feel like I could visit every year for the rest of my life and never tire of it. In fact, we’re going back this year in December! I’m excited to see the city in a completely different season, especially since it’s going to be all decorated for Christmas when we go. Continue reading
It’s finally Fall! Fall is by far my favorite season because of the beautiful colors of the leaves, cooler temperatures, and holidays like Thanksgiving and Halloween. Unfortunately I live in Houston, which means I don’t get to experience any beautiful colors or cooler temperatures. Continue reading
Today’s post is a throw back to last summer when Matt and I visited Caddo Lake. Caddo Lake sits on the border of Texas and Louisiana, about a 5 hour drive from Houston. This lake is interesting in that it’s one of the only (if not the only) natural, non-man made lake in Texas. It’s also unexpected in that large cypress trees grow in the middle of the lake! It makes for a very unique lake experience. Continue reading
In August, Matt and I took advantage of a rare opportunity to see two things we had never seen before – a full solar eclipse and Saint Louis, Missouri! Since we love traveling and science, it was a no brainer for us to travel to a new city in order to view the rare eclipse. Continue reading
Hello and happy Sunday everyone! Sorry for the lull in posts lately… we moved into a new house in a new part of town two weekends ago and wow, moving really takes up a lot of time. But we’re all settled in now and I absolutely love our new house! My commute to work went from 1.5 hours to 15 minutes, and same for Matt. I have so much more free time now to explore the local parks and restaurants! There’s two huge parks within walking/biking distance of my house… perhaps one day soon I’ll do a post about Houston parks! Continue reading
Let me preface this post by saying Matt and I are not “Vegas” people. That being said, Vegas is strategically placed near three other places we wanted to see and, let’s face it, is a pretty iconic travel destination in itself. So we went to Vegas. Continue reading
Hello and welcome to Two Traveling Peas! We are Matt and Emily, and we’re on a journey to see as much of this world as we can.
Two Traveling Peas is our travel blog. Here you can find stories from our adventures as well as tips for traveling to locations we have visited.
Emily and Matt are both 25 years old and have been married since 2015. We love traveling (clearly!), dogs, video games, and cooking. We have two fur babies, Zelda and Zuko, who sometimes get to travel with us.
We hope you enjoy our blog!
